This year, the first day of fall coincides with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, marking the head of the year. In the biblical calendar, Rosh Hashanah is a two-day holy convocation that marks not just a new date but a divine reset. It is a time when God’s people would pause, reflect, repent, and prepare for what is ahead. Even today, it is a prophetic reminder that heaven has rhythms of renewal, and when we align ourselves with God’s timing, we don’t just move into a new season of nature, we step into a new season of destiny.
This shift ushers us into the Hebrew year 5786 (תשפ”ו). In Hebrew, each number is also a letter,
Prophetic voices are calling 5786 a year of awakening and renewal, a year of stretching to connect, a year of convergence. But it is also a year of warfare where the Amalek spirit, which attacks from behind to wear down the weary, will try to steal purpose and silence prophetic voices. Dear Esthers, this means you must not only celebrate the shift, but also disciple yourself in it.
I know what it is to walk through a season of stripping and release. There was a time when the Lord closed doors I thought would always stay open and removed relationships I thought would always remain. I didn’t understand then why He would allow it, and honestly, I felt abandoned. But looking back, I see that it was in that very season that He was preparing me to birth Esther’s Army. The release of one season became the foundation of the next. What looked like subtraction was actually multiplication.
Fall teaches us that letting go is not a loss, it’s a preparation. The leaves don’t resist their release. They fall with grace, painting the ground with beauty even in their surrender.
So it must be with us. Your femininity is not weakness; your grace is not fragility.

You are designed to embody both beauty and strength. To release with trust and to rise with power. Transition is not punishment; it is discipleship. It is the place where the Lord trains you to steward what is coming.
So I ask you: what are you still clinging to that cannot go with you into this new year? What doors are you trying to pry back open when God has already shut them for your protection? What old leaves are you still trying to glue back to your tree? Fall is whispering, “Let it go.” Rosh Hashanah is declaring, “Step into the reset.” And heaven is inviting you to trust the God who makes all things new.
Lord, I thank You for the divine reset of this season. I choose to release what cannot remain and embrace what You are birthing. Seal me in covenant, refine me by Your Spirit, align my words with Yours, and anchor me to heaven’s purpose. I declare that I will not fear change, for You are faithful in every season. In Jesus’ name, amen.
You are not walking alone. An army of Esthers is rising with you.
Standing with you in the discipline of release,
Dr. Roxane Smith
